Mona Lisa’s eyebrows may have faded with time, but his appear to have migrated down onto his eyelids, somehow.

I had to verify that this is a real story because of how batshit insane it is, and, well, yes, apparently it is. :(

    https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/crime/article300433159.html

The married, 27-year-old Collins Avenue condominium owner gave “plumber” as his occupation to arresting officers

Not only is he a racist asshole, and murderous asshole, but he’s also a landlord, hence, triple asshole.

The only saving grace here was this chucklefuck was as bad at killing people as he is at basic common sense and decency. The guy is literally a storm trooper.

Per the article you linked to:

Dustin Tischler, Brafman’s attorney, said in a statement to the Herald on Monday night that his client “was experiencing a severe mental health emergency” when he opened fire.

Maybe don’t rush to judgment so much? Wait for more information.

What the hell? What mental health emergency explains wanting to kill two people based on their perceived race?

Schizophrenia seldom manifests as racist attacks involving firearms. More often that’s a different DSM-4 category, “being a murderous fascist.”

Kind of two different things. You didn’t ask what mental health emergency he was specifically having, you asked what kind would explain it. That would definitely explain it

Being a racist schizophrenic who murders people still makes you a racist murderer. He certainly targeted a perceived race he hated.

It explains it, it doesn’t excuse it. If your brain snaps and suddenly you perceive something as a rational thing to do you don’t really have control at that point. Basically just points to punishment or treatment, not a get out of jail card.

                Please rethink that career path.

Every defense lawyer in a shooting case is going to claim mental duress in a shooting.

People who commit racially motivated crimes don’t get the benefit of the doubt.

Does this man have a history of mental health problems? Are they under the care and supervision of a mental health provider? Are they taking anti psychotic meds?

If any of those statements are true, what were they doing in possession of a firearm in the first place?

All those questions deserve proper investigation. I was not excusing this man from his crimes, merely pointing out his lawyer was claiming he’d had a mental health crisis and that they should be investigated.

And I’m a pretty damn good therapist so I think I’m gonna keep it up. Maybe you should just go fuck yourself?

Lawyer claims random bullshit without supplying evidence to later in court just ignore all those claims

Uh huh, fuck this bastard. Send him to jail and place him in the middle of Jewish and Palestinians. I think he owes both groups a bit of an explanation

Well the lawyer for their client is going to say something like this. Has the man been evaluated for this mental health emergency?

I also wonder which disorder in the DSM manifests with wanting to kill Palestinians.

Perhaps you shouldn’t listen to the defence attorney in their press releases and see what comes out in court.

Isn’t that kind of what he’s saying? Maybe don’t rush to judgement because there might be more to it?

Not that it makes a significant amount of difference aside from treatment, he’s obviously a danger to society whether the cause was medical or otherwise. At that extreme you might argue that it’s mental health disorder range whether it’s diagnosed as something specific or not.

Moments after being shot, the Israeli man who was the victim of the shooting took to social media and wrote, “My father and I went through a murder attempt against anti-semitic background.” He finished his social media post with the words, “Death to Arabs.”

Presumably, at some point they needed a real life reference to make the first dummy from.
