I typically browse /all with a lot of subs blocked (typically NSFW ones that just have NSFW content that I’m not into) but I’d like to block all of the Trump and Elon posts without having to sacrifice my visibility with all of the news subs.
To add to this, I’m on mobile via Voyager
Anyone able to do this or lend some insight?
Thanks in advance.
I only browse Subscribed. And since I’m not subscribed to any political/hateful shit I seldom see anything… not enough to bother me, even less so that I know I won’t click it. Not that I’m not interested into politics. I’m very much, but I also don’t call that constant drama/shitposting ‘politics’ and I certainly do not wish to waste my time reading that.
It’s merely a choice: what do you value most? not missing the rare ‘quality post’ in those shit content communities, or your own sanity? My choice is clear.
This is what i did. I used to depend on my feed to get major news but decided to do that elsewhere. Now my feed is just stuff that entertains.
Same. I constantly see these posts complaining about their feed and am just wondering why don’t you guys use /subscribed instead of /all.
Checkout https://lemmyverse.net/communities or something and tailor your feed. Don’t browse /all the entire week.
This is the way. Subscribe to the stuff you care about, and ignore the rest. Browsing “all” from time to time should be enough as long as you sort by top of the week or something like that.
This way, you’re in charge. You get to control how much you get exposed to potentially harmful stuff.
This is not the way, the point of browsing all is so you won’t miss new subs.
A better way is to use !communitypromo@lemmy.ca or !newcommunities@lemmy.world if you don’t want to browse /all.
Community promo has new posts for “old” communities that you might have missed every once in a while too.
Grilled. You were faster than I ;)
