It’s depressing in a good way. It handles the telling of depression as a central theme really well. But holy fuck does “The View from Halfway Down” (towards the end of the series) really make it uncomfortable in this regard. Do not watch it unless you’re prepared for an overload of self reflection and existential dread.

Yeah, there are some solid jokes in the early episodes, such as the paparazzi being unable to blackmail Bojack, because he’s too nihilistic to care.

And I also like the more subtle ones, such as Diane having one decent sibling, and he’s literally the black sheep of the family.

I always keep mine back, except during meals and when it’s not allowed. It’s better for my back this way.

BoJack Horseman. I don’t have an exact episode for you, but the first few seem to be mostly world building and introducing a few themes that will come back later. Later half of s1 is where it starts to get good, and with s2 the show “properly” starts.

I happen to have a job that takes me to all corners of the world. And my coworkers are the same. But the amount of them who have spouses that barely see anything else in the world is baffling.

And I grew up on a dairy farm in rural scandinavia (“town” would be an exaggeration), and as much as I like having that as a background, I think I made the right choice when I started exploring the world just because I could. Of all the xenophobic shitheads I’ve met, what they’ve all had in common is that they barely move.

Depends on where I am and what I’m doing. When on work travel, I VPN home. When I’m home I VPN to work. Outside of that, I don’t really use VPNs.
