Summary

An American Airlines jet and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter collided midair near Reagan National Airport, killing at least 18 people.

Trump initially expressed condolences but later questioned why the air traffic control tower or helicopter pilot didn’t prevent the crash.

The FAA identified the plane as a PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700.

A Kennedy Center webcam captured the collision, and investigations are ongoing.

CNN’s Pete Muntean called the incident stunning, noting its proximity to a military base.

    Nah, fuck you.

Regardless of if President Doofus were involved in the crash or not, we would have lost helicopter pilots OR people on a civilian aircraft.

If you think helicopter pilots or civilians dying is okay, you are a terrible human being.

Like I said in another comment, you can end the fascist line without innocent lives if you are going to rewind history.

And the author of the time line should probably put Die Fuhrer Musk into the mix.

Very true, just look at Hitler and Mussolini, famously defeated by strongly worded letters and no bloodshed

There are ways to discontinue the fascist line without needing to sacrifice so many other lives.

        And fuck Trump.

Eh, I do feel bad about it.

The military as an organization sucks, but not everyone in it is the “just following orders” SS type of goon. For a lot of people, especially from underserved communities of color, it is one of the only available routes out of poverty when education and job opportunities are inaccessible.

This is by design, I have to imagine, to ensure the US military always has a steady stream of warm bodied volunteers. And they get people young, too, setting up recruiters in high schools to recruit teenagers who have no idea what they’re signing up for and are told they have no better options.
