Fuck all the way off.
Yeah this bitch is nuts
lol fuck off with your neo lib stance. She’s one of the good progressives
Um…no… this is just gender-swapped RFK Jr (from her Wikipedia page):
A “both-and” approach (both prayer and medicine) to physical and mental health has been attributed to Williamson.[98] Williamson has said, “People who are prayed for get out of the emergency room faster,” and “people who have been diagnosed with a life-challenging illness, who attend spiritual support groups, live, on average, twice as long after diagnosis”.[11][99][100]
Williamson has stated her support for the necessity and value of vaccinations and antidepressants,[101][102] but has been criticized for her skepticism about the pharmaceutical industry’s influence in setting guidelines for how they are administered, citing her belief that their profit motive could result in harm to patients.[103][104][105]
She has also criticized overprescription of antidepressants,[97][106] questioning whether antidepressants play a role in suicide, saying that the prescriptive definition between sadness and clinical depression is “artificial”, and having called the process by which clinical depression is diagnosed “a scam”.[107][102]
She’s the Jordan Peterson of the Left. Says half a dozen things that make sense and half a dozen things that are pure reactionary nonsense. You get drawn in by the sensible stuff, then taken for a ride.
Did your crystals tell you that?
Only after I got all my chakras aligned.
LOL good one, Comrade
She is not a progressive.
She joins a wide field of candidates who previously announced their bids for chair, including former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, Minnesota Democratic Party Chair Ken Martin, Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair Ben Wikler, New York state Sen. James Skoufis and former Maryland Senate candidate Robert Houton.

This is one of those things most people won’t pay attention to, but if this guy gets DNC chair…
We could actually cause lasting change and pull up from the nosedive

Pelosi has already thrown her weight around for a lower position. She will here as well.
She should be careful throwing her weight around like that, might lose her balance again.
Eh, at least this time there’s a chance.
When a dem wins the presidential they pick someone and no one else gets any votes.
It’s a deep cut, but my biggest criticism of Obama (and I have a good amount) is he just ignored the DNC instead of of appointing someone who shared his vision of the party.
That allowed Tim Kain (Hillary’s VP pick) to take the reigns and then DWS who resigned and was awarded with an easy House seat after it came to light she was directly coordinating the DNC with Hilary’s primary campaign in 2016.
Like…
I honestly don’t think people understand that getting Obama elected got us right up to the finish line for real actual change…
And at the last second he just didn’t follow thru.
A progressive DNC chair from 08-16 that let the primary be a fair fight and Bernie would have followed and we’d be exiting from his second term right now. The Republicans would have likely pivoted back to center and Trump running for president would be a forgotten memory from almost a decade ago.
So much shit and pain caused cuz Obama was bitter the DNC opposed him in the 08 primary for Clinton and then didn’t support him in the general. Obviously it’s more the fault of Hillary and her people, but we really rallied around Obama, got him elected…
And he just didn’t follow thru for whatever reason.

Democratic Party in a nutshell, from 1948 to 2024.
Democrats can’t get anything done, Republicans get bad things done. Tale as old as time.

Well, it wasn’t very long that he had much of an opportunity, but also:

This is not some bothsiderist thing. I’ll gladly take Obama over the wrecking ball coming in January. However, he was really center-right when it comes down to it…

We could actually cause lasting change and pull up from the nosedive
I remember feeling that way back in 2008 when Howard Dean took the chairmanship. Then the party donor class kneecapped him at every turn and booted him for a conga line of hacks the first chance they got.

Ahh so in other words there’s basically a 0% chance we’ll get him. At least we know who definitely won’t be the DNC chair for those who might want to place bets. :(
Him and Ken Martin (current Minnesota-DFL party chair) are both the two main front runners. Both are generally more progressive and are already getting backing of many state party members
It’s not a given but it’s definitely not a zero percent chance at all
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
As if anything matters anymore
There have been no public forums yet where the candidates have met and taken questions from members of their party, but those meetings are slated to start in the new year. The official election for the next DNC chair will be held on Feb. 1.
This is actually incorrect. There was one hosted by the Young Democrats of America on December 7th with four candidates there answering questions. Is literally listed on the Wikipedia article for the DNC Chair election and the video is linked
Direct link to the video (and cut to the timestamp when it starts): https://youtu.be/Z1sip1hofdk?t=840
I’ve actually hardly heard democrats ever speak like they did in that setting (in a good way). Way more conviction behind what they are saying (as it goes along at least), generally more progressive, and overall more populist
Egad.
In a move I expect to have an equal impact on the world, I’m proud to announce that I’m running for the papacy.
(No, I’m not Catholic. Does that matter?)
You gest but im not a 100% sure it is a requirement. I seem to recall the voting can be for anyone like speaker of the house.
Is gest short for gestation?
I jest, but I think you mean jest.
indeed I typoed jest.
It doesn’t. I also announce my horse for the papacy
Why is there even an article on this?
