The selection of themes is decent currently but I would love to have a theme that mimic the old.reddit.com layout(preferable with a light and dark mode variant). IMO The default theme on lemmy has many of my same complaints of the reddit redesign( too much whitespace mainly ). I know this is largely a personal comfort thing.
Frankly if there is somewhere you could point me to get started making this theme myself I am totally willing to put in the work.
We also have a theming guide here.
Its very easy using tools like bootstrap.build to create a lemmy-compatible theme.
Is it necessary to have the
_variables.scss
file ? I made a theme but like totally forgot to download this file. :|I spose, but you’ll also never be able to refresh / reload your theme if you want to tweak it.
It would be also great if an instance could be set up to use a certain theme by default. It would help to create an unique identity for each instance (even though one can select a preferred theme through settings), no black and green everywhere.
Dracula theme.
