It doesn’t really matter, because you know What? The rebels didn’t use starlink in Syria, and you ended up having to run anyway.
Face it Russia, you are losing the war, your army will ultimately have to withdraw, your economy is collapsing as we speak, Putin will be overthrown and the Russian federation will fall apart.
And no it’s not because Ukraine has missiles and drones that can reach into Russia. It’s because Putin started a moronic war, thinking it was easy money for him and his oligarchs.
Russia is already set back a decade economically, and the power balance where Russia is becoming more insignificant compared to China, is probably accelerated by several decades. Russia proving to be a poor supplier of weapons, and a poor ally militarily, and economically more insignificant than ever. Russia is only valuable to China now as a vassal state.

Compare that to the possibility Russia had when Russia worked on getting closer to the west after the fall of Gorbachev and becoming a democracy, If they had continued along that path, Russia would almost without a doubt be the biggest and most influential economy in Europe now.
Instead Putin chose to reverse course, and destroy Russian democracy and relations with Europe and the west.

Russia is only complaining about starlink, because they essentially have no idea what’s going on, how they ended up in this mess, and why it’s going so bad for them. And most of all they don’t know how to get out of this mess, without all the consequences tumbling down on their heads.

This. They could have very easily been the “bridge to the east” for Europe, and vice versa for China & the islands. Trade, security, resources, etc instead of giving that role to Türkiye and Israel. Massive reserves of oil, gas, fertilizer precursors, and titanium. Combine that with Chinas heavy metals and labor pool, Russia could be in an economic powerhouse alliance, off ramping from a hydrocarbon economy into a manufacturing and innovation society. The Soviets kept abreast of the entire western output, their military hardware was super competitive until like the 80s.

Instead one guy threw it away.

Absolutely, China will be in control of Russia, like Russia is in control of Belarus. Maybe the weakness of Russia, will enable Belarus to tear themselves lose, and restore democracy? We can hope.
