They blocked it for a pure political reason, not for a security issue
This said, it’s stupid to use an ad-infested closed source app that probably exfiltrates your data for ai training when there’s a very good foss alternative
Is there an easy list of recommded foss alternatives to apps someone has put together? It would be awesome if someone simply made something where you type in the name of an existing app on your phone and it listed the best rated foss alternative/gave a brief summary of its pros.
Ban them for the general public. Block them.
But when its come to the government , use VPN or the so called politicians have another firewall compared to general public.
