IMO there is a mismatch of users and articles posted. I assume most users are from the US and according to the IEA only 10% of Global EV sales are from there compared to 25% in Europe and 60% in China. This is the same issue you see in reddit on /r/electricvehicles , /r/cars or even /r/android.
That vehicle was already announced over a year ago and it is now available for preorder. Xpeng has been making flying cars for several years now.

Isn’t the 4680 just the shape of the battery? I guess the disadvantage is that it is round and harder to assemble into a pack unlike prismatic batteries.
IMO current lithium iron phosphate tech is better suited for most consumers compared to the nickel manganese cobalt based 4680 Tesla uses.
Even the CEO of Ford thinks their cars are fantastic.
