The problem is minimum wage is the break even equivalent of like 2-10k human hours without even factoring in expensive maintenance costs.

I thought you were going to say that their culture is more insular and less sociable, because that would be a better explanation than the popularity of vending machines.
Except for the stupid friggin discount stationary bike my wife bought. That must be the exception you’re referring to…
Have you driven one? If not, try it out and you may understand the appeal.
I would never buy one myself, but their comfy as all hell to drive, it’s like driving a lazy boy. You are really high up, so other than the blind spots you feel like you can see really well. Any road bumps are essentially negligible. Curbs or other things that you might have to worry about in a small car, you can just drive right over. If you want to bring something somewhere, it’s super convenient to just toss it in the bed.
I grew up in rural farm type life, and a pickup truck was just a given.
As long as you don’t care about other people or the environment, it’s a nice vehicle.
My take away from this image is that this person only owns 3 kitchen knives…
How the heck is that even possible? I was forced to get flood insurance on a house that’s nowhere near an ocean just because there is a stream nearby that almost never even has water in it. Getting a damn LOMA processed is confusing as all hell. Do 90+ percent of people not have a mortgage or something?
That’s basically how US flood insurance works. The entire country is mapped out in flood zones based on a every 100 year occurrence. If you’re in the zone you’re required to buy insurance… but it’s bullshit. They have a bunch of inland people paying the same rate as the people’s houses that are on the coast and flood every 5 to 10 years.
Wild Animus
It’s about a Berkeley graduate who takes a bunch of acid and then dresses up like a mountain Ram in Alaska and becomes increasingly more deranged.
It was on a reading list for a college class. Pirate the book if you decide to read, because the author is a raging asshole.
You can get 10k crickets for $180 at reptilesncritters.com much better deal.
At least like one comma could have done a lot…
I think the big scare is just common questions like… what happens to all of content saved, will it still be accessible? What happens to my Outlook email that my nephew set up? What happens to subscriptions, will my VPN subscription work on Linux? What sort of device management does it have, can I link up my TV the same way?
We are going to have a lot more elderly soon, and not a lot of young people to fulfill these roles. I am not sure making the requirements more stringent is the best answer… I would rather everyone have an aid, rather than half the people having heavily qualified aids.
Maybe they could create some program that just applies to the industry, where there is some form with all that vital information that the state administrates thar the care giver is required to maintain on hand. Free/mandatory CPR classes should be a must also.
Also, if it’s zoom court don’t drive while your zoom court session is going on… seems like it would be obvious, but someone literally did that a few months ago.
I am curious what the iron dome would do if Iran launched an actual dirty bomb at them. Wouldn’t it just cause it to scatter over Israel if the winds blow that way, destroying its liability.
Supposedly if you close your eyes you can’t differentiate the flavor of root beer from mint.
They just haven’t replaced. No new construction has been able to use them for decades
Just tell every church they have to accept 3 homeless, or lose their tax advantage and there would be no more homeless.
Media attention
Out of curiosity, how would you word it?
Eh, if it’s all from one entity and all related to similar subject matters you can deny requests or roll them up. You can also start charging maximum fees in this situation.
