I’m currently creating a reposter bot for a community (r/fosttalicska alternative) because I can’t make good enough memes. It’s basically in a just enough working state for now, but I can apply that bot to here too.

Would you be okay with reposting some memes from Reddit via a bot?

EDIT: Should it be on lemmy.world instead?

    Oh yeah sure! At least we’d have the illusion of activity (and it would be one less reason to go on Reddit)

      Oh great to have an approval! And which instance would you prefer? Lemmy.ml or lemmy.world? Each of them have pros/cons.

      Lemmy.ml:

      • You’re the mod here and also active
      • Hearsay says that the admins don’t like words like “bitch”

      Lemmy.world:

      • Mods are inactive
      • Lemmy.world is de facto instance
      • Less restrictive?

        Hmm, it’s true that .world is the default instance now… But if the mods are inactive I guess it’d be better to repost to here. I can make you mod as well if you like

          Oh my I didn’t expect such a turn of events. It’s nice to see you have a bot too ^^. So can I leave 2visegrad4you in your hands now? (My uni will start soon, and that was the reason that for some days you got no reposts, but probably I just need to setup the script onto my uni laptop as well).

            Oh sure, yes I can add 2v4u to my bot. Although if you ever want to keep working on yours we can go back to using it :-)

              I didn’t plan to leave my bot in this current state, I just lost my motivation currently. Hopefully gonna continue it sometime afterwards.

          Yeah technically it should be possible, but lately I haven’t done anything on the script yet. I didn’t even automate it, because found some path problems that needs a proper solution. Gonna check on it then.
