Matchmaking requires picking three heroes you’re willing to play. Who have you landed on, and why?

Tell us a bit about how you like to play your three, so the rest of us might get an idea of which other heroes we might like to try, too.

About McGinnis in 1v1s. Just played my first match as her with 15 kills.

Seems the wall can be used to do a ministun if you can land it right under someone. Pop the heal at your feet to give yourself tankiness, and pop out turrets as fast as you can to give urself DPS and to force your victim to pick between shooting you and the turrets. Also make sure the heal and turrets overlap, as it heals them too, they’ll stick around longer.

Do not chase. Her strengths lie in the AOE of her turrets and the heal. If you leave those behind you’re essentially down to just shooting.

If you can use the wall to trap your victim together with you and your turrets, great. That’s what you should be doing instead of chasing.

Forget using her ult for anything except teamfights or pushing a lane. In a 1v1 your opponent can just get up close to you, where you can’t hit them. If they are running away though, then it works quite well for finishing them as the range on it is quite good. Remember that you can cancel the ult anytime if you need to move or shoot someone close to you.

Ah, I suppose it’s just my play style. I ALWAYS fully upgrade stamina and walking speed so I can zip around and dodge. I guess I have to focus more an health and resist late game when 1v1 is much more common.

More dashing makes sense. Less sure she gets much use out of additional walking speed, as she simply isn’t for ganking.

Her kit is king for holding your ground. So while dashing to dodge things is great, you should try to pick a spot and stick to it, using the wall to force your opponent to do the same.

Do it right, and you can be firing at full speed, have two or three turrets doing the same, your AOE heal keeping you AND the turrets alive, and a wall between your opponent and their escape route. They will MELT.

I found that setting up some turrets in a corner in advance, the retreating to that corner to pull enemies into their line of fire, worked great.
