      Normally. Even if I’m not there. They’re only empty for a few weeks at a time. I travel for work between three different cities. My family lives in one and I travel to other two. So none are truly vacant.

          I wouldn’t call vacation homes vacant. They are not in areas where most people can live. That’s why they are vacation homes. Another issue is many vacant homes are in poor shape. They are not “surplus” homes.
