    It should be law that you’re not allowed to represent a constituency unless you’ve lived there for at least 36 months.

        Because then the political parties can’t parachute inexperienced candidates into safe seats so that:

        1. The new candidate gets elected in a safe seat and learns the ropes of political life as an MP.

        2. More experienced candidates can be deployed to marginal constituencies to contest the seat.

    If this man is representing your constituency, he thinks you’re a mug and you’ll vote for a donkey as long as it’s got a blue rosette.

    Be nice to show him how wrong he is.

    I would love to be represented by someone not from the area who, when asked a direct question, simply answers another question entirely that no-one asked about. Really says they have my interests as a constituent at the forefront.
