Nothing better than an ice cold glass of milk after working outside in the heat. Ron Burgundy has misled millions of people into thinking milk is a bad choice.

I like em all. Oat, almond, soy, cashew, hemp, coconut, rice, pea. Prefer soy and nut milks with pea protein for the high protein content. Veganism isn’t about taste though

I would love to go vegan, but I’m too much of a coward to give up whole milk and sour cream.

I’m thinking if I get to about 80% vegan diet it would be better than nothing.

Milk is the only non alcoholic “drink” in my fridge. So yes it is refreshing when you don’t bother making ice or cooling something else.

    I am just lazy.

Skim is fantastically refreshing. But a nice, rich whole milk? Oh yea, just what I want in the middle of a long run.

It really isn’t… It’s ultra-pasteurized and crazy overpriced. You don’t really taste the cool, creamy goodness in milk that’s been boiled.

Near me, I like this random Dutch brand, and also clover (clover is hit and miss sometimes, though.)

In my opinion it’s the best. I tried going all out with raw milk for a bit, but it had an off putting after taste.

I will agree that it’s way overpriced, but I’m trusting the side of the box that says animal care certified. That alone is enough for me to pay more to soothe my guilty conscience for supporting the milk industry.

Honestly, oat milk is a very distinct drink that tastes very different from dairy milk. It’s interesting, but most people will agree it’s not a replacement in most cases.

I did try an ultra-filtered milk (no lactose) the other day, though, and I was shocked at how close that was to standard milk. Granted, it’s made from milk, but still… I was fooled into thinking it was the same thing.

I’ve never had anything plant-based yet that fools me like that. I’d love to see it in the future, though. Plant-based meats can be great, and in some cases, they taste better than beef.

I wish there was a plant based milk that came close to whole milk. Oat milk is the closest I’ve found, but it’s just not the same.
