I use this for hiking. It’s a great app.
I add points of interest and markers when I’m out in the middle of nowhere for others who have openstreetmap and I’m a massive nerd.
What an incredible app! I’ll be using this for travel. My wife is an avid mountain hiker and she’s going to start using this as well.

You can, all you have to do is copy-pasting the link into lemmy’s searchbar instead of clicking it. The name of the lemmy.ml link is also very easy to guess : lemmy.ml/c/organicmaps@sopuli.…
Yeah. Especially on mobile it’s a bit inconvenient having to go through some hoops to eg. subscribe to some community on another instance.
Organic Maps looks like a great map, just learned about it.
One nitpick: it looks like the map used by Organic Maps is behind the currently available map in openstreetmap.org. Does anyone know why? I don’t see edits around my house that I merged months ago.
