    Man, these hits have been an every-day thing lately.

    These refineries hit by Ukrainian drones… represent about 12 percent of Russian production

    And that production reduction is after Russia suspended gasoline exports due to to shortages they were already experiencing.

      Yeah, going after their oil is a brilliant move, it means they can’t export refined products, and also has an effect on their economy as well, as what they do have is diverted to the war effort.

      They’re also high profile, high value targets, and it’s impossible to hide that they’ve been hit.

        Also vulnerable, full of combustable material and any air defenses pulled off to them are air defenses that can’t be used in the invasion, I expect.

        And dispersed, so they’re pretty hard to defend. I assume that pipelines aren’t quite as desirable, but they could also be targeted and that greatly expands the area of potential targets.

        Still not sure I like the idea of strategic warfare, but I suppose if Ukraine’s going to do it, they’re probably the best targets.
