minus-square@drolexlinkEnglish15•24 days agoYou sure about those equations? My background in Physics tells me that 1= π = (speed of light) / (not quite speed of light) [without unit]
minus-square@TonyTonyChopper@mander.xyzlinkfedilinkEnglish14•edit-224 days agoIf the metre was 4.8% shorter then the speed of light could be π*108 m/s
minus-square@Naz@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglish8•24 days agoObviously the right thing to do is to make the meter shorter. Or invent degrees Kelvin.
minus-square@paholg@lemm.eelinkfedilinkEnglish5•24 days agoIf physics taught you that 1 = pi, you may want to retake some classes.

π = 1 is fine in a Fermi approximation
