Heck if I know.
Heck if I know.
You’re
Welcome
😉👍
Also, with regards to formatting, a manual line end, without the blank line in between, like a HTML tag <br />
, is achieved by having two spaces just before the line break.
Like this.
PILOT: dead bugs on windshield.
MECHANIC: live bugs on back order.
PILOT: suspect crack in windshield.
MECHANIC: suspect you’re right.
PILOT: number 3 engine missing.
MECHANIC: Engine found on right wing after brief search.
On another note, I found a version closer to The Source:
right here
You can download it off the Devs, and it’ll be free, but the UI is about as opaque as a foot-thick wall of lead.
Alternatively, you can buy the Steam version, and that one is way more accessible.
I remember seeing something like that years ago. A few more that popped to my memory just now:
PILOT: autopilot altitude hold has a 100 ft/min descent.
MECHANIC: cannot reproduce issue on ground.
PILOT: evidence of tyre leak in left main landing gear.
MECHANIC: evidence removed.
PILOT: [system] behaves funny.
MECHANIC: [system] has been firmly told to get their shit together and straighten up their act.
PILOT: strange sounds behind console. Sounds like a midget beating things with a hammer.
MECHANIC: hammer taken from midget
Moerasduits. Is dat goed genoeg?
Well, then have some proof:
G E K O L O N I S E E R D
Oh damn!
It’s time to wake up Green Day!
Maybe it’s just me, but the second one in my brain gets voiced by LazerPig to the backing of Rule Britannia
Then it’s an artificial satellite. And, tbh, isn’t the ISS just a specific, very large artificial satellite?
Instructions unclear, dick stuck in grilled cheese sandwich.
Confusing… My instance is .world, and I similarly subscribe to communities regardless of instance. So seeing a .ml link had me go 🚨 tankie instance for a second, conveniently failing to notice that A: that post is in .world, but seem from .ml; and B: this post is in .ml.
My bad 😅
Though I would suggest OP to see if they can fix the link to one that changes the specific link based on the visitor’s instance
I once saw a video report on bullshit jobs, where they also interviewed a researcher into how much value is gained or destroyed by various professions.
They said that for every £1 (the researchers worked in the UK) given to marketing executives, that society suffered £11 in lost value.
ETA: The video in question (Dutch, with a few local English bits)
There’s a city in France - Toulouse, IIRC EDIT: Correction: it is Grenoble - where the mayor ran on a promise that “if you elect me, I’ll remove all the billboards.” Turns out that was really popular, so now that city does not have any billboards.
ETA: A video about it. (Dutch, but it has (auto-generated) English subtitles)
Especially given that the above link points to lemmy.ml, an instance notorious for harbouring tankies & amplifying pro-authoritarian talking points.
The link is .ml but points to a thread in .world. My bad 😅
#usdefaultism much?
Would work, though I wouldn’t say I’d be too big of a fan of the aesthetic. If on the other hand the contestants would be in chain mail or plate mail, that’d be bloody neat.
Something tells me this is satire.
