Back in the day, the U.S. partnered with a large underwear and bra company to make spacesuits for the Apollo program. I guess they are going along with that tradition.
That makes sense as they’re designing functional apparel for all forms of the human body. I guess, in my ignorant opinion, Prada doesn’t really fit into the functional category. Their models definitely don’t seem to exhibit all forms of the human body. Maybe that’s where I’m wrong. Maybe a high end, luxury clothing brand knows the human body better than any other company. Or, maybe, it’s just a marketing stunt. Those have their own useful value too.
You’re not ignorant. You’d be surprised at what companies like that are capable of when called upon to do something original for a great cause. I mean hell, the Big 3 were forced to make tanks during WW2.
