Ford Motor shut down a battery factory and laid off 1,600 workers after President Trump and Republicans gutted government support for electric vehicles.
This is what happens when people don’t consume news, and it’s not made available to them for free.
To be fair the new Ford sucks in the US (as far as I know) they discontinued the fiesta (even in the EU) and the Focus in the US. What decent models are even still in production? The gas-guzzler trucks people buy to drive their kids to kindergarten? (This isn’t my stereotype about the US, I see this in Ljubljana)
Wall Street demands immediate returns, so Ford has to sell what makes the most profit the fastest. There’s a future or there waiting, but fuck all that shit. Pay them now.
The only passenger car that Ford makes any more is the Mustang, which is a muscle car.
The US auto industry has been having issues competing starting in the 70’s with the gas crisis.
