    Why have downvotes enabled? If you want to enforce this, it would make sense to have the community in a server without downvotes.

      Eh, lemmy kinda blew up last year. A lot of communities just got made as things expanded. But I have no idea who even made this one, or moderates it, so I can’t speak for them.

      I can say that picking an instance isn’t exclusively about a single aspect of that instance. You’ve gotta balance access, stability, user base, moderation/administration, overall ethos, and the chances of it surviving long enough to build a community after starting the C/.

      Down votes being enabled or not would be pretty low in priority compared to most of those, imo.
