I’ve lurked on Reddit since the Digg exodus very rarely posting / commenting on anything. Although lemmy is lacking content and more niche communities at the moment I find myself actually wanting to take part in the discussions here and not just consuming.

Give stremio a try, it works with RD too. I prefer it.

Unless Nvidia improves the driver situation on Linux, I’ll be switching to an AMD card next. I’m on a 3080 at the moment though so probably won’t be for a while yet.

I probably switch what I’m using every few months. The thing I cannot live without though is tiling support, whether just inherent to the window manager I’m using or an extension, I find it painful to use a computer for anything serious without one now.

Currently using KDE with the Bismuth extension (Fedora Kinoite) which isn’t perfect but not bad. I’m eyeing Hyprland up from afar but as an Nvidia user I have too many issues on Wayland at the moment.

Eve Online but a lot of it just spent ‘station spinning’… Other than that Arma 3 and Dark Souls 3.

I switched to silverblue a few months ago and then again a few weeks ago kinoite. I think the immutability and revert updates super easily is great. I think ostree is the future and I’m looking forward too seeing how it matures.

Install a 1TB SSD in there, and fill it with mods. It’s pretty easy to upgrade yourself.

I’ve played them all (except for sekiro) and some of them do somethings better, but DS1 just stands above them for me.

Dark Souls, the tone and atmosphere just does something for me that I can’t really explain.

It was hard enough to get my family to switch from WhatsApp to signal. I think matrix would be a step too far. I do have account myself but haven’t seen too many active rooms.

I find too often that ChatGPT will just make things up when asking things outside of the basics. Most of the time it is just quicker to search for official documentation and read it than relying on ChatGPT’s answers being right.

I finished it for the first time on the Steam Deck a couple of months ago. I loved it but I think I prefer the first one. I started the third one but haven’t gotten very far in so far, not sure whether I like it.

Return of the Obra Dinn was so different to anything I’ve played before, it was great.
