I am actually surprised IPFS isn’t leveraged more for this.
This is quite neat. Been using DaddyLive to watch Bundesliga with Kodi, wrapped in some random extension… Rising Tides, I think it was?
No, just the way the Fediverse works. :)
…and, to go on a bit of a tangent, how the internet “used to” work. You still see the remnant with E-Mails; they can go between servers. Most other services have become locked and centralized now. There was a short bit of time where MSN, AIM and YIM were practically compatible with one another due to sharing many of the same XMPP protos.
Personally I am happy to see this again, been too long ^^
…and still won’t pay a coffee! :D
Selfhosted Vaultwarden and the Bitwarden apps.
Gives me access to all my things basically any time and anywhere. Its pretty neat. And if I don’t want it anymore, I can export the data and just nuke it - and it’s gone. :)
Was thinking the same - this looks like a prime usecase for IPFS, honestly.
Honestly, the interesting tidbits you learn as you dig yourself into that rabbit hole is actually quite intriguing and fun. So yeah - I’d say it is also quite “fun” for the process itself!
C: What if you used emojis for pointer (*
) and deref (&
) signs?
When I add !privacy@lemmy.ml
into my search field, it doesn’t show anything - in fact, it ends up telling me that there are no results. I have to then go into the Communities tab again, and hope it shows up there.
I can see it doing work as I watch the logs. But this is really a little weird/frustrating. I hope this sees improvement eventually! =)
Let’s see… Just today, in their presentation for the next patch, a child character got a new outfit, and a teaser that the next archon (god) is a kid - again. xD
I sometimes wonder wtf they’re doing, ngl…
