While that’s admirable, you gotta tailor your “calls to action"s (ig is what they’re called”) to where you’re at.

Here on Lemmy the biggest issues are the tankies, posting about people not buying from Amazon or posting on FB on Lemmy isn’t really effective because most of the people here already likely do that. Those kinda posts would be more effective in someplace like Reddit where that’s far more common and Tankies are far less common

  • I’ve found it to be ineffective, sure some do “see the light”, but is it worth it?

Time and time again I see others lay out (not just here but on Reddit, TT, Xitter, Nextdoor and everywhere else) for conservatives evidence, graphs, good sources, scientific studies, hard numbers, video and photos, well structured arguments that are short, medium and long on length and much much more.

And what are they nearly always met with? That’s just fake news, lies by the deep State, “AI”, biased news!, Lefty propaganda, demoncrat LIEESSS, LIBTURDS etc.

lemmy.world is the largest Lemmy instance by far and is causing growing concern that it’s causing the Lemmy-verse to become too centralized and strangling out smaller instances either intentionally (if .world defed’s from your instance you immediately start losing out on a ton of content/traffic) or unintentionally (people just post there by default leaving little content for other instances)

So now there’s ongoing efforts to try to balance things out a bit
