• The data presented regarding car crash deaths is from 1999 to 2021.
  • Obviously the number of car crash related deaths would dramatically decrease due to COVID lockdowns and remote schooling… leading to the clickbait title
• 3,597 “children” died by gunfire, but the demographic is “children” aged 1 to 18
  • 2,279 of these were homicides mostly involving Black “children”
    • This would indicate gang violence is increasing among “children” who are most likely gang affiliated teenagers. Thanks to Covid lockdowns, the economy is in a terrible state, and gang violence will likely increase proportional to economic downturn.
• 1,078 suicides from mostly white “children”. I blame covid lockdowns, instagram, and tiktok for those deaths more than I blame guns.

tldr: outrage porn, clickbait title, misconstrued statistics, and emotional appeals
