There isn’t actually any citation for this, there is however a bunch of articles written pointing to the red tape around reward money and saying “maybe” he wont be paid. But so far I havnt seen anything that shows this as more than conjecture

I remember learning through multiple personal experiences some time during highschool that some adults were vastly less intelligent and wise than some of my fellow 16 yr olds, it was shocking to me. Honestly I think some people hit puberty and just began coasting, ego and entitlement outweighed curiosity, and they began to live with the belief that society’s collection of history, science, and reasoning, was worth less than their own personal opinion.
I feel odd about sex ed in school. On one hand I believe it to be such an intimate topic that goes beyond basic reproduction which is what the school will only teach. The discussion should cover romance, intimacy, and emotional intelligence, but that doesn’t happen unless the parent is teaching it. On the other hand I know that many just wont do it at all, and the school teaching it is better than a large group of people just not knowing.
This being said Id never argue against sex ed, the people who do are dipshits.
