Thanks for the tip.
Another good use for VPN is to counter dynamic pricing. My wife visited a website some time ago to request the price for a ticket. When she visited the website a second time the price had increased considerably. However when visiting the price with VPN it was the original price again. It saved her a lot of money.
I was able to reach the profile from kbin as follows.
I liked it but until an annoying bug drove me to Podverse which is also pretty good.
I’m pessimistic about the chances to stop this. People in the EU are more and more living in an era where privacy is a thing of the past and where every citizen is guilty unless proven otherwise. It has become clear that the EU is not working in the interest of civilians, as they are seen as a potential threat that needs to be monitored. It has become a oligarchy working for the rich.
For the people willing to resist we have p2p, onion services and privacy respecting free software to defend ourselves against these shameless attacks against our privacy.

Yes, that works. Great tip.

Thanks, I’ll try setting it Undetermined and see if that works.
It’s another word for (Lemmy) server.
You’re right. I mostly do a search before posting but I probably forgot to do that in this case. Also seeing that renowned journalists making these mistakes that could easily have been avoided with just a little bit of research is worrying.
Thanks for the link. I suppose the article is geo-blocked because I can read it completely here in the Netherlands.
This Musk guy sure knows how to make good soap operas.
Solvespace is a FLOSS light weight 3D CAD alternative. Although it lacks the advanced features of Solidworks works really great for most of my 3d designs.
