I want all of the Best Brains to come together for a moment of reflection. I just saw the episode of TOS in which Kirk, Spock and McCoy put their lives on the line against T’Pring the Spicy Senorita in a game of Horny Death Chess. Please, reflect: who would choose Stonn over Spock? Real estate and post code swagger worth having to “consort” with someone who is not your equal socially, aesthetically or intellectually? Was Stonn playing the long game to move up the social ladder? Was there a “Downton”-esque world of servants and farmers back on Spock’s estates, just praying that T’Pring didn’t take over The Manor?
Also, keep in mind that Stonn was a full Vulcan, whereas Spock was a half-breed. Vulcans are more than a little racist in that respect, and it didn’t help that Spock was always off cavorting with humans in Starfleet. Her choice of Stonn given the culture of Vulcan was pretty damn logical.

There’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo of Stonn in Strange New Worlds IIRC. He was one of T’Pring’s coworkers. Maybe she just got closer to him there.
Aesthetically I think Spock and Stonn are about equal.
I feel like Adam Driver would be a good Stonn.
I will never be able to not picture that now.
Neither will I. He wouldn’t need ear prosthetics and he’s sort of wide and square.
Back in the day, Ivana Trump [wife #1] was the star of the show and Donnie was the chump who carried her bags. Donnie dumped her and became a big deal. In this case, T’Pring realized that if she was with Spock, she’d always be the second banana. It’s that simple.
