This group was created in response to what is talked bout in this thread.

Explanation

Lemmy has a clear overweight of a far-left-communist community which can be pretty aggressive. This has an effect that a lot of relevant world news gets bogged down and revolve into a discussions about the legitimacy of western media and news.

This group is meant as a companion-piece to the !worldnews community and act as a productive and useful addition to the “lemmyverse” as resource for discovering world news.

You might be concerned about this becoming a echo-chamber, which we are painfully aware and concerned about. We can’t claim to be perfect ideal people or guaranty that this will be a perfect community for world news.

But gosh darn we will try our best!

    I’m not trying to correct you. But liberalism is pretty broad as a definition that is accepted in general culture. You can have your own experience of a certain kind liberalism but you are essentially excluding yourself from a community for ideas and beliefs the group does not push
