Competition drives prices down. Lots of countries would be happy to have Microsoft bringing in revenue there so they compete on price by lowering taxes.
Well, that’s toxic.
It definitely is. It provides huge advantages to companies that are large enough to move their operations around countries to take advantages of lower taxes and hurts small companies that are naturally stuck in the country of the founder.
