Type IV British military contract pistol for SOE mounted in SOE belt remote firing rig.
The pistol use is a Colt model 1903 pocket hammerless.
SOE design with belt and cable firing device .Probably made by the SoHo gunmakers J. Wilkes (who did a lot of work for SOE) to a design by Col. John Dolphin, the Commanding Officer of Station IX and a gifted engineer, and Eric Norman, a gun designer working at Station IX.

Look to your left, now look to your right. One of these people won’t be here by the time you graduate.
Was this so you could still shoot someone with your hands up, looking like you were surrendering?
Just hope you only ever get attacked from the side the gun points to.
Just rotate quickly and fire.
Surely this belt is intended for traps/sentries, right?
This is probably a better main picture.
that’s… absurd.
Still classier than the alternative way of hip firing.
that guy is now castrated
OK that’s interesting! And you could trigger it with something other than your hand if you were particularly game.
Hah you could have them strapped all over and a trigger wired to each finger 🤔
Imagine you just wanted to high five your mate but now you have killed him .
