What people miss time and again is that in all levels of life the easiest thing to do is whatever you’ve been doing, and no amount of knowing better is going to change that. If you are hanging around in your room waiting for November to roll around so you can secretly register your opinion on the matter, you are doing far less than anyone involved in these campaigns to make the change you want to see. (Obviously I mean “you” generally, and I include myself in this statement.) Collectively we are unfamiliar and uncomfortable with the type of action required to derail this slow motion tragedy.
