Tell me if you’ve seen this one before: In a presidential campaign season, a Republican operative in an official capacity releases a damning statement parroting sensationalist right-wing accusations couched in an investigation that nonetheless leads to no charges, preventing the target from even defending themselves.
Biden just got the James Comey treatment. The Deep State exists and it is republican.
Hur almost reached Barr’s scale of slime with his insertion of medical/social diagnostics in a political report. I’m not a huge Biden fan, but Hur’s report should get him fired.
The downside is that firing him just burnishes his FOX News cred. If there’s a way to prosecute him or sue him in civil court, that should happen. Along with a complaint to the bar.
If only he could have gotten through his rebuttal without making a gaffe. Like, if there was one time to be super careful about everything you say, it’s when you’re in the middle of calling malarkey on a report that you’re forgetful.
