I just saw this episode and never realized that Zefram Cochrane had a history that went back to The Original Series in 1967.
For anyone curious, the character Zefram Cochrane first appears in ‘Metamorphosis’, the TOS episode from season two episode 9 … played by Glenn Corbett.
The character was later featured in the 1996 Star Trek film … Star Trek: First Contact … and played by James Cromwell.
I only mention this because it was a surprise to me.
A surprise because the first appearance of Cochrane makes him look like a well groomed, uptight, upright military man … Then the 1996 version is a drunken idiot.
Just like with the Klingons’ change, the Federation doesn’t like to talk about this.
The Borg Boogie effect - their trime travel shenanigans caused some wild shit, man
Well after brining about peace and prosperity, he sorts himself out.
Actually I think he’s in the Enterprise pilot isn’t he? Giving a speech I think.
You start exciting or you end exciting. see: other captains
Which one does ending up in a beep box count as?
He ended up on a planet where fantasies were so realistic they transcended reality and he wasn’t confined to the chair, so…
The beep box fucking slayed me.
Don’t knock the beep box til you’ve ridden it
The Companion gave him eternal life, so why not de-age?
Sure, but you’d think that would give him an excuse to party more.
