Even an ‘official’ insurrection would not go very far. Most people don’t want it and wouldn’t take part. There might be resistance pockets here and there, but that’s it. Who is going to leave their job, grab a gun and go fight when they’re living paycheck-to-paycheck?
By April 1862, the south had to impose a draft. The north subsequently did the same.

All of the right wingers I know that like trump all say the same thing: “if they come for me I’ll blah blah blah”.
