I’m so so tired of fucking awful headlines, and the whole “don’t editorialize headlines” thing just doesn’t work anymore.

“It will be ubiquitous,” Yoshida said. “Wherever there is computing, users will be able to play their favorite games seamlessly. Why PlayStation will remain our core product [is] we will expand our gaming experiences to PC, mobile, and cloud.”

is the actual quote which is functionally what the situation is today. also this guy is in power for less than a year so you can barely listen to him.

Fair enough, I probably should have editorialized it to make it more accurate. For clarity, we don’t have a “don’t change headlines” rule here. I often edit them to remove click bait ambiguity or to add review scores.

I like the fact that he knows that a lot of gamers are only playing 1-2 games at a time so a subscription service wouldn’t really make sense for us.

Right now, physical games and some free digital games from the basic PlayStation plus is perfect for me.

I buy new the games I know I’m gonna love, buy used a few surprises and let me get tempted by some free PlayStation games I’d have never bought myself.

Also I don’t see myself buying a pc for gaming, unless they create some kind of PlayStation pc where you know your games are gonna run perfectly on a dedicated OS that you can dual boot with Linux.

Just thinking about all the tinkering and setting up you have to do on PC to be able to game is too much for me😅
