So I plan few trips for next season.

First one in last week of July - get to Vienna, around Danube to Linz and then back to CZ to small town Slavonice. (About 600km I plan it for 7-9 days)

Second to Hamburg - the farthest city with direct train back home. (About 900 km I think it will take me about 14 days)

Few shorter trips and 10km every day to work…

My brother said now something like “C’mon next year you will have 5000 km on bike”

Those are some good plans! Are you planning to follow the Elbe (Labe?) cycle path to Hamburg?

Sounds like your brother may be right.

I got a text a few days ago from a guy i met on the road in summer, asking if i wanted to cycle in Asia with him for a couple months. That got me thinking, because in my field of work there’s somewhat of a crisis currently and i may be actually in a position to again talk to my boss and get a bunch of unpaid leave. But i just got into the groove really being back at work and at home, and it feels a bit like i may be fleeing something if i did that now. On the other hand it sounds of course really cool. I have some time to think about it since my boss will be only back in two weeks, but if Asia is going to happen, it should be soon, like start in February or something.

Before this came up, my plans were unclear, just a few ideas i was contemplating:

    • Train to Villach and then head south, through parts of Slovenia i missed out on and keep going south towards Greece.
    • Another trip in Western Alps
    • Riding around Massif Central in France
    • Pyrenees and Spain, maybe include parts of Montañas Vacias which @NotSpez@lemm.ee was talking about

Some shorter trips, maybe a week in the Vosges and weekenders in Belgium. Really just waiting for the rain to stop for longer than half a day right now, then i’ll head to Belgium.

Damn, all those plans sound amazing.

Before some unforseen circumstances threw a wrench in the works for me, I had a trip planned to Kyrgyzstan. It’s still on the bucketlist, but delayed. Central asia sounds amazing to me, but I think I really understand the part about liking where you are and not wanting to ‘run’. Whatever happens I am looking forward to see the updates in this community, I really like it here.

The friend suggested south eastern asia, but yeah central asia seems great, Kyrgyzstan seems to be an amazing place for a trip.

Yeah from Brno to Prague and from there along the Labe. It looks like smooth ride when I get through Vysočina region it will be mostly flat.

Then direct train back to Brno.
