What if Reddit federated? Would that be a good thing or a bad thing?

    I’d be down. One of the benefits of federation is that you can have different platforms, like kbin and lemmy, share content, while also competing. But if one pulls ahead in experience quality, or featureset, you can “swap” services, without swapping the content.

    Imagine if reddit had been an instance on the fediverse all along, we’d able to jump ship SO much easier.
