Hello! I was curious how you guys like to share your work, particularly long-form works. I mean, excluding publishing because that sounds like a lot of effort I cannot be bothered to put in. I’ve been wondering what other people like to do, I don’t really share my work that often.

Well, it’s not that hard to actually self-publish via Amazon, Lulu or IngramSpark for example, but getting your work distributed is another story. However, that’s an issue with any platform as far as I’m aware of.

Now, the most obvious one is to start a blog, and you can do that with https://paper.wf for example! Which is a federated blogging solution.

    Some options you have are:

    • Wattpad
    • Writers workshop (Local workshops are best)
    • Royal Road (Mostly focused by LitRPG fans)
    • If you are writing short stories or novellas, you can look for magazines that accept submissions in your genre, but I take that’s what you are trying to avoid.
    • If your work involves blogging/journalism or non-fiction in general, I’d recommend Substack and Medium as well, just beware that the monetization format can create an annoying culture.

And you can post here as well! :)

While true, you can be at least moderately successful without being LitRPG or Cultivation, but if you aren’t at least Fantasy then the story is almost certainly not going to do well.
