This is improved in 0.0.33. Now it’s just tap anywhere on the comment that isn’t also a button. There’s a setting to configure if you want that comment to collapse or just the replies.

… and indeed, i can tap to collapse anywhere. Font sizes are fixed … Just some things still not al the way satisfying, will have to file another bug: a collapsed subthread all the way at the bottom can not be opened again does not scroll up when opened again. And it would be nice to still have some context visible on a collapsed comment, perhaps truncated and in small font. (is an option, shows whole comment, though)
And if you’d like to comment on making a “how much is visible” option, here i made another feature request for displaying truncated context: https://github.com/dessalines/jerboa/issues/545
(I will not include this in my request directly, so that it in essence it remains simple thing to do which gives it a better chance to get done)

The last collapse of a thread reopens for me, but Jerboa doesn’t scroll up automatically to show the content. Then again, I’m one version behind.
How much is still visible should best be configurable in the settings.
