Whereas I might’ve been less generous with upvotes on Reddit, I think it’s important in these early formative stages to let others know that I appreciate their contributions. I hope it encourages growth and activity!

Absolutely, I’ve done more posting/commenting/upvoting in the last days than I’ve done on reddit in the last year.

right now I am using the upvote as an “I see you, friend”. its more important to me that we have interaction of any type while we try and grow this thing.

I absolutely love this. Lol. I never thought of it this way.

I’ve been upvoting every comment and thread since I joined lol. Now for the first time it’s actually becoming harder to keep track of them!

It’s an interesting phenomenon. For me it really feels like in a smaller community, upvotes and comments and contributions matter a lot more

I’m upvoting everything at the moment. I want my fellow users to feel like they matter and are well received, hopefully something that will spur them on to contribute more.

Yes, I try to comment on posts because it’ll increase the engagement of the site and new comers wouldn’t feel that it’s empty.

Yes… I’ve been doing that across other parts of the Fediverse like Mastodon and Pixelfed. And now Lemmy.
