Big Sur ended up with a total of 50 GB of updates on Apple silicon Macs. While Ventura did much better, its smallest update was still just under 2 GB. Now Sonoma is doing much better.
I’m at the point where, after checking every conceivable option, I used government agency (I live in Poland) to flag that there’s a white spot on the broadband coverage map and that there’s demand for something better than 2mbps copper wire. Which seems to have been noticed thankfully.
