      Pro tip: Join an instance that disables downvotes. I thought I’d miss seeing downvotes, but I don’t at all. It feels so much more pleasant to browse without them.

        Pro-tip, on kbin we have no upvotes/downvotes. Only favorites and reduces.
        “Karma” was a concept that was easily manipulated and abused on other, closed, platforms.

          Lemmy.one observes no downvote system whatsoever, only upvotes. Downvotes don’t even federate from other instances, so everything is more or less upvoted or remains at 1. I love it.

            Still not a fan of upvotes, again its something that’s easily manipulated.
            I enjoy the no upvotes/downvotes. Boost is where its at.

              Having no downvotes makes it easy to ignore upvotes as well. Plus, no cumulative karma is nice. Unlike reddit, I don’t really notice or care if I get upvotes or not.
