    Russia has gone from an arms exporter to an arms importer. While this will certainly help them in the short term, in the long run it’s going to unseat them from their previous #2 arms supplier status. Anybody who needs arms now is looking elsewhere and every time that choice is made, the country is effectively locked in with that new supplier for decades.

      not just that but the “quality” of their product has been exposed. They are not going to ever be able to export again except in the most bargain basement manner.

    So you mean you could down, say, not armed flying helicopters in a battlefield, but like on a train in Egypt instead…
