I’m getting a bit of weird vibes from Mozilla lately… I like what they do but I’m unsure about how I feel regarding the upcoming rebranding of fennec to firefox mobile and now this. Are they just swallowing other projects now? Strange change in strategy, hopefully no disadvantages for us.
When was Firefox on Android ever Fennec? I feel like I have been using it since it arrived and it was always Firefox. My memory on this could could be bad, but it’s definitely been Firefox mobile for a long time.
I know Fennec is the fork of Firefox mobile on FDroid. Is that actually a throwback?

Thunderbird is not developed by the Mozilla Corporation, which makes Firefox. The post in the OP is also over a year old.
