Ive been in this situation before and it SUCKS! I was delivering pizza ages ago and was on my way to a delivery when a cop pulled me over. I wasn’t doing anything wrong so I was kind of confused, but pulled into a parking lot and parked. The cops got out and immediately pulled their guns on me and took cover behind their cruiser. Within seconds, there were 4 more cop cars pulled up and surrounding my car. I had 5 cop cars surrounding my car and at least 7 cops all with their guns aimed at me and screaming at me to get out of the car. I was freaking out! Ive dealt with anxiety issues my whole life and this caused me to have a huge panic attack, which pissed the cops off more, because it took me a minute to comply. It wasn’t till I was face down on the asphalt (in the rain btw), till one of the cops said something like “hes just a pizza dude, this isn’t him”, and all the cops got back in their cars a sped off. It took me a good 15mins before i was able to catch my breath and calm down from my panic attack, and hours after that before i could stop shaking. To this day, anytime a cop gets behind me, I start having anxiety attacks and have to consciously try to calm myself down.

I had something like this happen. A huge SWAT team – six cars full of pigs – invaded my house.

Turns out a neighbor with dementia and a crooked pig. – later fired for stealing from a police fund – falsified evidence to get a search warrant relating to a bank robbery I had nothing to do with.

Absolutely no trust for the pigs here.

That’s awful. I can’t even imagine being in that situation. Just knowing how trigger happy cops are I would be so scared.

I’m sorry that happened to you.

They did that to me for walking on the sidewalk with a backpack. Apparently I matched the description of a purse thief from the grocery store down the street. “Male, backpack”

The kid is 3’10" they’re looking for a teen that’s almost certainly 5’7" or more, that’s not a mistake that’s abject stupidity that makes Vincent adultman slightly more believable.

Depends on where they live. If they live in a conservative area, you’re probably right. But where I live you can totally get a payout. I mean, you’re not set for life or anything but it’s enough to buy a lot of therapy, time off of work, and mushrooms to make that anxiety go away.

The other day I was in the emergency room for an asthma attack. The guys across from me got into an accident due to a dui, and we’re all going to be arrested later (so they couldn’t leave). When it was my time to check out and I approached the exit, I could hear someone sprinting behind me, and a loud “STOP!”. I turned around and there was an officer that was literally seconds away from tackling me from behind.

The nurses had just barely stopped him in time. Suffice to say, I almost shat bricks.

Another time a cop pulled me over, I found a safe place, stepped out of the car and locked it, and then sat on the curb next to my car. They then threatened to shoot me if I didn’t get back in my car. I don’t even think he was worried about me being a flight risk or a danger, he just really wanted to search my car, and that made it more complicated. Luckily, I was fine. I’m a bit of a poor redneck (litteral redneck, I work outside), and fuck, cops really don’t like you when you look poor like that.

Show them license, registration, stuff like that to show compliance. Be respectful and say shit like “i respectfully decline to answer that question, sir”. If they want to search you or your car, say “I do not consent to a search”. They’ll probably search anyway, but even if they do find something, it does not hold in court, because the evidence was collected in an illegal manner.
