Hi everyone, I’ve recently started a personal project called GameBrewing. My goal is to move away from the rush of latest releases and typical “before you buy” reviews. I’ve recently published an article about Persona 3 Reload, featuring a side-by-side comparison between the Steam Deck and the Nintendo Switch 2. To be honest, the project is in its very early stages, and I’m still a bit insecure about the depth of my technical analysis. I’m doing this simply because I love video games and the “how it works” side of them. Despite being a bit frightened to “go public” like this, I would deeply appreciate some constructive feedback on my methodology and findings. I know I can make good use of this community’s sharp eyes.
Not really In the target audience as I don’t use handhelds - take this with a grain of salt - but he the of system comparisons is interesting. Not so much about the method/findings in this case - I feel that at various points I’m the copy (which I didn’t feel was too long) it could have done with some supporting images related to your points specifically around anti aliasing. Though understandable that might have been difficult to capture.
Post didn’t feel heavily technical more pro/cons of the hardware, pricing factors towards a recommendation.
Thanks for your feedback!
What is the point? People with switch will play it on switch and people with steam deck will play it on steam deck. Nobody is going to buy one or the other for a game that old.
Fair point! If the goal is just ‘playing the game’, any screen will do. You should play on the system you already have or like the best. However, the “point” for me is about appreciating (or critiquing) the technical differences between the versions. For some of us, looking under the hood is just as fun as driving the car! Cheers.
