Anything that might supplant the Israel lobby is an absolute non-starter to all but a handful in DC. as long as the campaigns keep getting AIPAC dollars, nothing will change. “Courage” is not a word to describe pretty much anyone in Congress.
Fuck the DNC tear it down. We need to replace them with a true progressive party. If fucking everyone had listen to Bernie in 2015 we would have one now and wouldn’t need to rely on them now.
He clearly gave us the fucking tools 11 years ago to create a movement. We should have started a new party and ran for every local election we could. Over time little by little we could of had a viable party. We could of taken over whole states. By first running for city council, and mayors. Then state positions in Congress. Hell even Governors. It could of been done. Look at Sanders 40 years as a independent.
But nooooo we keep running in their primary for Congress as if they will ever let a true progressive have any power within in the DNC. Just look at AOC voting records. For fuck sakes we could of had a progressive candidate for president. If we follow Bernie true plan we would already had the majority in Congress and Trump would be in prison. Fuck all those that decided to choose Hillary or continues to support the fucking DNC and two party system.

He’s been saying the same thing his whole career. We had plenty of chances to listen.
I’m not aware of Bernie ever saying to get rid of the Democrats and found a new party, or even trying to challenge party authority really. He’s always been a “vote in the primary, vote Democrat and hope for the best” kind of guy.

Aight. DNC is broken. What are the organizational dynamics? What steps and positions need to be taken to take over the DNC from the inside? Appoint our own chair, amend bylaws, etc?

DSA has the most success with this, i recall atleast one case where the DNC dissolved it’s state party rather than allow the DSA to take over the party.
So a little bit of everything, get inside the DNC but also run your own candidates?
pretty much, it is the only realistic way of fixing things outside of full on revolution. quietly take over seats until you have the majority necessary to take control of the party’s pocketbook. $ is the only thing the majority of establishment politicians care about anyway, if you have control of that they will either flip or dropout when the hassle isnt worth it anymore.
DNC at the national level is actually very close to this itself, iirc. progressive caucus was only 10 or so seats away from having a majority (of dem) seats in the House. if enough progressives get seats in this next one entire leadership of DNC could be upended real quick
