I will happily talk to a friend about whatever show they love for hours. I’ll probably never watch it unless it aligns with my own interests, but that doesn’t matter.
If they’re passionate about it, it’s important to me, and I will never try to smother someone’s passion.
You’re the best type of friend
Me listening to my sister talk about Taylor Swift (I’m not a fan but I’m the only person who doesn’t make fun of her for being obsessed)
I said ‘in sickness and in health’, I did not say ‘in hours long tirades about how Taylor shouldn’t be dating some football player and OMG would she just come out already!’.
I love my wife, but I do not understand.
Your wife has thirst for TS confirmed
Oh man, I don’t realize how much I can talk about Taylor Swift until I start talking to someone about her.
Usually with me it goes like this:
Me to friend: You should check out SHOW, I think you’d like it.
Years later:
Friend to me: Hey! Have you seen SHOW? It’s fucking awesome
Me: Yeah, I told you about it years ago…
Game of Thrones comes to mind.
I don’t even understand, do they throw these thrones at each other, or what’s the rules here? If I nail a guy right in the balls, is that like 10x points or do a get a penalty?
I am unsure. This speculation made me wonder, so now I’m waiting for it to come on ESPN
Someone recently told me to watch one piece, the anime
I hate animes and i am never gonna watch a showbwith 1000 episodes…
valid, but you’re missing out on some of the greatest fantasy worldbuilding of all time. check out the live action or the manga if you aren’t outright opposed to those.
*insert OP pic here*"
My problem is always, yeah, it can be one of the best shows out there… and I believe you.
But there really only is so and so much time in a day to do stuff, and there’s so much else I also wanna do…
Ultimately we have to choose.
Try the live action.
My friends constantly tell me to watch Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure. I never will lmao.
I like to piss people off by saying I lost interest midway through part 3
honestly idk why they’d be pissed. part 3 is way too long and the first half is basically just a monster of the week format. it’s one of the weaker parts as far as pacing is concerned.
the thing with jjba is that each part gets better than the last.
Part 2 is my favorite. Joseph is and will always be my favorite Joestar. Part 3 is great in huge part because of him.
I lost interest during part three due to the unnecessary repeated animal cruelty depictions.
“It wasn’t exciting enough.”
“Where’s the Hamon? What’s a Stand?”
It’s so good if you like over the top melodramatic fighting. I like to call it “anti-subtlety”
frankly most of what makes JJBA good is just the ideas and a series of specific scenes, it’s not something i’d rewatch just to enjoy watching it.
Like i enjoy the memory of it more than i did actually watching.
Please do.
Peaky Blinders…do it.
Don’t bother. 1st season is alright, but thebseries as a whole is just another drama
Good drama though imö
But it’s literally the best thing Dave’s ever watched until 2 days after the season ends and he doesn’t mention it again for another 12 months
I always like pretending that Peaky Blinders was the inspiration for Yellowstone. Like, some old dudes in America felt threatened that the biggest show about people being bad asses was about the English.
So kind of like The Office but they had to rename Peaky Blinders because Americans wouldn’t get the title?
Sort of, but it was more of pride than jealousy of the success.
Irish.
Birmingham is not in Ireland?
The Shelby family is Irish.
That’s a much bigger debate than I’m expecting anting to get into tonight. They were born and grew up in Birmingham, so I call them English. Plus their mother was from Birmingham according to the wiki
My son has said that to me 3 times today.
I hear that’s good https://yewtu.be/watch?v=l1sPbSQu8hU
